Most of his time is taken up by his duties as the heir (although, of course, he keeps up with his training), so when something requires a duel, it's usually one of his siblings who's called. But sometimes there's a task that can't be managed by anyone else -- or just one that everyone else refuses to manage.
Today, Thomas didn't come in to work. And, of course, Chris is in charge of Thomas.
(And maybe he volunteered, because he remembers his promise from last night.)
He unlocks the door of the Arkwright residence (he hopes that Thomas is at home, because he doesn't know where else he would look) and steps inside.]
