[Nobody's home.
Nobody's home, nobody's coming home for a while now.
He can do this, if nobody will ever see. (Right?)
He digs in the back of his closet and pulls out the box.
(sometimes when they're clearing out the attic of the house you used to live in, there are things that can be saved before they're taken to be stored away. a string of pearls, an old pair of heels, a faded dress, he lays them out on the bed in turn and stares)
